Well, after a week of camp that flew by, I am finally back at my house.
It's called BYC, or Believer's Youth Camp.
This was the last year it would be held where it's been for the last 30 years, and it's only my second time going. To be honest, I won't miss the camp so much. It's been an amazing experience for me, and that's something that has nothing to do with where it's at.
I know some of you probably don't believe in God, or have religions of some other sort.
But I'm a Christian, a Message Believer. And I experienced God this week.
I'd like to tell you a little about it, if you don't mind.
This isn't anything huge, but as you probably know, there's crazy weather going on.
It was 97* outside, and my boyfriend Luke and his cousin Amy and I were messing around.
In five minutes the temperature dropped 30* and the sky turned black.
We noticed thunder and lightening, and started walking towards the large church-
Away from the storm.
But as we were walking, people started running past and screaming.
I turned, and saw the air was green. Dust and leaves were blowing in circles.
At that time, Luke yelled for us to run.
He put his hand behind my back to steady me, and just about that time I tripped.
Then we heard a huge CRACK. Luke once again yelled, only this time to stop.
Not twenty feet in front of us, a huge branch broke off a tree and fell to the ground.
He shoved me over and told me to stay away from the trees.
I was kinda in shock, and I couldn't talk, but in the back of my head I was thinking.
"Um, that's where we have to go Luke."
He realized that, and finally yelled for us to run again.
As we ran I got hit in the head with a branch, and I almost stopped.
Luke was there to get me going again though.
When we finally got to the church, six of us sat together in a row.
We were all from the same hometown church. As we sat there shocked, I asked if we could start praying. So we all bowed our heads and prayed quietly.
As they were praying, I couldn't help but look up. And as I looked up, I saw five different kinds of people.
The ones who were panicked- Bawling and screaming.
The ones who were amused- This is awesome! Yeah!!!
The ones who were shocked- Staring at the wall, obviously scared to death.
The ones who were pretending- I'm cool, yeah, I'm not THAT scared...
And then, the ones who were praying-
Ten, maybe fifteen people out of 400 were praying.
I'm glad to say that in those fifteen max. people, six of them were my best friends.
So, as I'm sitting here typing this, I'm wondering who reads these journals.
Who would my readers be, out of the five people I noticed?
Because the truth of it is, everyone has to come to face death one day.
And you're one of five people.
But now that I know who I would be, I'm worried about you-

To Future Lacey-
In less than a month, you will be turning 21 years old.
You're a junior in college and in the past week moved into your first shared apartment.
You now play 19 musical instruments.
Yes... you're still as messed up in the romantic life as ever. No surprises, huh?
Khaleesi is your dog and she is the light of your life. Right now she's curled up next to you, wearing a Star Wars sweater.
You work at a restaurant, where you've been for almost 2 years now. You're a server, and you make hella bank because old guys think you're "precious" (probably because of how short you are).
This has been a horrible winter. Erie is all over the news because

I am moving into college tomorrow.
It's crazy to think that after all this time, I am leaving the place I grew up. Sure, I'm not going very far away.
But moving out of this house is something I've wanted for a very long time...
And it's finally happening.
Never have I ever been so stressed (which of course could be in part to the fact that I am preparing
music that I have to perform for a fundraiser tonight) and short tempered.
The amount of sass I have been giving my mom without even trying has been upsetting me.
However, there is only so much I can take of "Be careful of what you do when you're in college because your dad
